Tour Description

Day 1: Arrival in Manaus

Upon landing at Manaus airport, you'll be warmly welcomed and escorted to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day unwinding at your hotel or exploring the vibrant city.

Day 2: Discovering Manaus

We'll depart from our chosen hotels and journey 18 km along the Ponta Negra highway to reach the Manaus port, the starting point of our tour. Located in the city center, we'll explore the port's interior before making a brief stop in front of the Palace of Rio Negro, the official residence of the State Government.
Next, we'll visit the Museo del Indio, managed by the Salesian Congregation. This museum is ideal for understanding the traditions and customs of indigenous peoples. It features a collection of over four thousand artifacts crafted by various tribes that have inhabited the region over the years, including household items, musical instruments, ornaments, and weapons.
We will then proceed with an external tour of the Palace of Justice in the Amazonas. This building, ordered by Governor Eduardo Ribeiro and inspired by French and neoclassical styles, now functions as a cultural center.
The tour culminates with a visit to the interior of the Teatro Amazonas, inaugurated in 1896. This iconic attraction symbolizes the rubber boom era, showcasing the opulence and grandeur that still resonate through its halls, rooms, and artworks.
We will soon return to the selected hotels, concluding the tour.

Day 3: Meeting of the Waters + Swim with Dolphins

Embark on an extraordinary adventure as we pick you up from your hotel for an unforgettable experience. Get close and personal with majestic dolphins as you swim alongside these incredible creatures. Visit an authentic indigenous village and engage with the intriguing Dessanos and Tucanos ethnic groups. Participate in their daily rituals, interact with the tribe's shaman, and uncover the secrets of the jungle pharmacy.

Satisfy your palate with a delightful meal at the Rainha da Selva floating restaurant, enjoying the rich flavors of regional cuisine. Then, prepare to be astounded by the spectacular Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimões converge but never mix, creating a breathtaking natural phenomenon.

Continue your exploration with an exhilarating canoe ride through beautiful flooded forests and winding streams. Keep an eye out for vibrant water lilies and the possibility of encountering captivating wildlife along the journey.

Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to appreciate and purchase exquisite items handcrafted by indigenous artisans, perfect keepsakes to cherish forever.

Please verify the exact inclusions and operator policies at the time of booking.

The duration varies depending on the option chosen: there are full-day excursions and 2- to 4-day packages that combine city tours and Amazonian experiences. A typical itinerary begins early with hotel pickup, a boat trip to Encontro das Águas (Meeting of the Waters), a historical tour of the Amazonas Theater and the Municipal Market, a regional lunch, and afternoon jungle activities, before returning to Manaus. The tour is usually offered in Spanish, English, and Portuguese; request a Spanish-speaking guide when booking to ensure availability. Schedules and the order of visits may be adjusted due to weather, tides, and logistical reasons. Please check the final details confirmed by the travel agency.

For this Amazon excursion, bring your passport or ID, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, lightweight, quick-drying clothing, a raincoat, closed-toe non-slip shoes, a reusable water bottle, cash for small expenses, and a waterproof camera. The Amazon is accessible year-round: the dry season (June–November) is ideal for hiking and enjoying river beaches, while the rainy season (December–May) allows for paddling through flooded forests with excellent wildlife viewing. The climate is tropical, hot, and humid; expect brief showers. Avoid wearing strong perfumes and respect sustainable tourism practices (leave no trace, do not feed wildlife). Check the forecast and confirm specific requirements with the agency.

Certified operators follow safety protocols: registered boats with life jackets, trained local guides, and briefings before each activity. Always follow instructions, keep your distance from wildlife, and protect yourself from the sun and mosquitoes. International travel insurance is recommended. For health reasons, the yellow fever vaccine is advisable (consult your doctor), as are tetanus and hepatitis A vaccinations; consider malaria prophylaxis based on your individual needs. Inform the operator of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance. Families with children are generally welcome on day tours. Regarding accessibility, some docks and trails may have stairs or uneven surfaces; request accessible options and additional support when booking.
